This project was an exercise in putting useless shit that I was otherwise going to throw away to good use.
All the art supplies that went into making this were pulled out of my "I'm gonna throw this shit away" pile. Little chunk of rabbit skin, twine, ink that's been sitting idle forever, a needle point hoop that I'm not sure why I have, all cumulated into this weird artsy dream-catcher esque thingy. It's kind of cool. I've got one more hoop and just enough rabbit skin left over for a second one too, so we'll see if that one turns out better.
looks great. Also glad I'm not the only one that tries to put things to use rather then just toss them. I always have so much trouble tossing bits and pieces of craft supplies because you never know when you could make something awesome out of it.
Exactly. I've got so much random shit and I don't even know what to DO with it all but then just as I'm collecting it for the trash heap inspiration strikes.
Hah, I'll keep that in mind! I was gonna toss it because all I had was small bits that weren't big enough for any of my ideas, that, and they shed. Rabbit fur sheds something terrible whenever it gets cut. It was making a mess and I was ready to chuck it.
We had a rabbit once, one day it just died, it was weird. I wasn't bothered by it though because I don't like pets that have to shit every two seconds. Cats and big dogs is all I'll ever own, I never owned a dog though but most people around me did.
Rabbits are fragile creatures. I know a few people who breed rabbits as sort of a 'family project' for 4H club and they seem easy enough to raise. I'd considered maybe raising meat rabbits if I had the room for them but I don't know if I'd even have the heart to put them down, especially if they were friendly.
I've never eaten rabbit before. Raising them must be really good for fur sellers and rabbit eaters. Putting down a pet would be weird, just try not to get attached I guess.
I know some rabbit breeders like to keep them as pets and only put down the ones that are unfriendly, a mean rabbit is a bad pet and it can't be adopted out so they're forced to make the decision to either keep it locked up its whole life and avoid touching it or eating it.
I've been told sometimes nice rabbits turn mean when they get older, too, not sure why.
Old humans are mean too. The aged are just grumpy I guess.
Wish I had the money to go hunting, I can't buy deer in stores. Even if you hit one by accident with your car, you couldn't mail that unless shipped by train with lots of ice and dry ice.
